Murder of Albanian in London, prosecution confirms cause

According to the prosecution at the Old Bailey court, a comment about Ellis Anim-Annor’s partner is suspected of starting the conflict that ended with the murder of 22-year-old Albanian Lorik Abazi in Croydon, south London.

After Abazi had spent Valentine’s Day with his partner and friends at a bowling alley, the accused allegedly left the bar, returned and confronted their group.

In that stabbing incident on February 15, Abazi died in hospital, while two 21-year-old men were injured, one of them seriously.

Anim-Annor denies the charges of murder and intentional injury, while the trial continues.
