A resident of the Shënkoll area in Lezha is suspected of being the target of a planned assassination attempt by three people detained by the police two weeks ago. According to investigative data, the murder would be carried out for a fee, while one of the suspects would receive 10 thousand euros to help the other two after committing the crime.
Police and Prosecution investigations have revealed new details about the movements of the three suspects, Edison Vatnikaj, Vincesk Pirolli, Kristian Ymeri and Eden Tarja, according to data made public. The police were alerted after receiving a report of a “karkalec” type motorcycle, with which two masked people were moving on the old road connecting Lezha with Shkodra.
Immediately after the alert, field checks were launched. During the surveillance, unable to find the motorcycle, the officers stopped a “Volkswagen Polo” vehicle, inside which the three suspects were. Two of them had wet clothes, which raised suspicions that they could have been the drivers of the motorcycle that had moved in the area. Further checks in an apartment in the Barbullushi area led to the discovery of the motorcycle, which is suspected to be the same vehicle that was used in the movements of the masked persons on the streets of Lezha. According to verifications, the motorcycle was stolen or trafficked from Sweden on June 22, 2025. Meanwhile, the “Volkswagen Polo” vehicle turned out to have been rented from an agency near Kamza.

To further shed light on the suspects’ activities, Lezha Police have requested authorization to search five mobile phones. Investigators aim to check social media communications and, if possible, recover deleted conversations or messages that could help document the suspected criminal plan.
Investigations are also continuing to verify whether the detained persons may be linked to other criminal events, including the murder of Tani Ruzhdiu in Saranda and another event that occurred in the Mirdita area. These suspicions remain part of the investigation.
